Berta Fischer (*1973 in Düsseldorf) ist eine deutsche zeitgenössische Künstlerin, die vor allem für ihre abstrakten Skulpturen und Installationen bekannt ist. Ihre Arbeiten entstehen aus industriellen Materialien wie Acrylglas, PVC, Folien und Kunststoffen, die sie zu leuchtenden, oft transluzenten Formen verarbeitet. Charakteristisch für ihr Werk ist das Zusammenspiel von Farbe, Licht, Transparenz und räumlicher Wahrnehmung, das die Grenze zwischen Skulptur, Objekt und architektonischem Element auflöst.

Fischer studierte an der Hochschule für Gestaltung Karlsruhe (HfG), wo sie früh ein Interesse an Materialexperimenten und seriellen Arbeitsweisen entwickelte. Heute lebt und arbeitet sie in Berlin. Ihre Werke wurden international in zahlreichen Einzel- und Gruppenausstellungen gezeigt, unter anderem im SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah (USA), in der James Fuentes Gallery in New York sowie in renommierten Galerien und Institutionen in Europa. Arbeiten von Berta Fischer befinden sich in bedeutenden öffentlichen und privaten Sammlungen, darunter das Museum Ludwig in Köln und das Migros Museum für Gegenwartskunst in Zürich.

Her work is characterized by the use of industrial materials such as acrylic glass, PVC, plastic foils, and synthetic compounds, which she transforms into vibrant, translucent forms. Central to Fischer’s practice is the exploration of color, light, transparency, and perception, creating works that blur the boundaries between sculpture, object, and architectural space.

Fischer studied at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design (HfG Karlsruhe), where she developed a strong interest in material experimentation and modular structures. She currently lives and works in Berlin. Her work has been widely exhibited internationally in solo and group exhibitions, including at the SCAD Museum of Art in Savannah, Georgia, and the James Fuentes Gallery in New York, as well as at numerous institutions and galleries across Europe.
