Den Auftakt bildet eine Präsentation ausgewählter Werke von Xiao Hui Wang (*1957), deren fotografisches Schaffen für interkulturelle Verständigung sowie für den Beitrag von Künstlerinnen zum globalen Kunstdiskurs und internationalen Kunstmarkt steht. The Edit verweist auf den wachsenden kunsthistorischen und wirtschaftlichen Stellenwert weiblicher Positionen sowie auf die Umverteilung kulturellen Kapitals durch deren nachhaltige Verankerung in internationalen Sammlungen, Institutionen und Privatsammlungen.

The exhibition opens with a presentation of selected works by Xiao Hui Wang (b. 1957), whose photographic practice embodies intercultural understanding as well as the contribution of female artists to the global art discourse and the international art market. “The Edit” highlights the growing art-historical and economic significance of women’s perspectives, as well as the redistribution of cultural capital through their sustained presence in international collections, institutions, and private collections.
